Description:

SUMMARY

The Assistant Manager will serve as manager on duty, performing all of the responsibilities of the General Manager when they are not present. Responsible for assisting the General Manager with the day-to-day operations of the entire branch, they will present as a role model for customer service and instill this value in all of their associates. Together with the General Manager they will create an environment for continual learning and encourage an open dialogue among associates. Providing leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of Slegg’s core values and vision. The wage range for this position is $70,000 - $83,000 annually.

  • A broad knowledge of building supplies is necessary.
  • Superior Customer Service skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and deliver results with deadlines.
  • High sense of urgency and drive.
  • Ability to motivate, train, and coach others to a higher level of success.
  • Flexible availability based on business needs (including weekend, inventory, evenings).
  • Exemplary listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills required – advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • High energy level that is demonstrated on the sales floor while monitoring and providing direction
