Description:

ASSISTANT MARKETING COORDINATOR

The marketing department are looking for an Assistant Marketing Coordinator to join their team. The individual will largely focus on data support across the various activities within the department.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Tracking marketing campaign performance.

  • Gather performance results across a variety of campaigns and channels.
  • Updating the marketing dashboard, presenting data and drawing insights from results.
  • Investigating areas of poor performance and make recommendations for future campaigns based on insights.

Support for targeted campaigns.

  • Managing the calendar for targeted campaigns.
  • Handling customer lists.
  • Working on spreadsheets to filter data.
  • Assisting with planning and setting up campaignsLiaising with various stakeholders /departments during the preparation phase, for codes, artwork, copy etc.

Managing the administration for the donation portfolio

  • Keeping record of donation stock and supporting documents needed for tax purposes.
  • Reporting back on animal welfare contributions regularly.

Managing tasks for several ongoing projects / campaigns

  • Coordinating the various aspects of the project after launch and ensuring it continues to run smoothly.
  • Monitoring business changes that affect the project
  • Briefing in any changes to marketing elements (POS material, website banners etc).

General marketing administration assistance

  • General research on competitor activity.
  • Helping source quotes and samples for various marketing material.
  • Assisting the Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing coordinator with general marketing activities.

Administration support for the marketing budget

  • Recording spend per campaign or event and providing updates throughout the various campaigns.

REQUIREMENTS AND CAPABILITIES:

  • Strong in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly numerate – must be comfortable working with numbers, performing calculations and interpreting numerical data.
  • Analytical – identifying patterns in data and drawing insights.
  • Data literate – ability to leverage numeracy and analytical skills to support marketing strategies.
  • High attention to detail especially with numerical data.
  • High level of confidence in performance metrics – comfortable tracking marketing performance indicators and producing data-driven reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with innovative solutions in a marketing context.
  • Strong planner.
  • Self-sufficient.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing with special interest in marketing data.
  • Experience in a marketing data role.
  • Minimum 2 years full-time working experience.
