We are looking for a driven and passionate marketer to join ELEMIS as our Assistant Marketing Manager within our Retail Marketing team. To support the Head of Retail Channel Marketing to develop the retail marketing strategy, you will be involved in all areas of marketing campaign activation, delivery on our overarching business objectives, building best in class marketing plans with our retail partners.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

  • Educated to degree level, preferably Marketing or Business orientated.
  • 2-3 years of experience within a similar role or a retail marketing executive in the beauty or similar sector.
  • Proven experience working with UK retailers including Boots, Space NK or Sephora is desirable.
  • Experienced in devising and implementing strategic plans with creative flair.
  • Digitally focused with a good knowledge of all digital marketing channels.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience on determining return on investment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadline in a timely manner with strong prioritising skills.
  • Have a flexible, positive, and professional attitude.
  • Exceptional organizing skills showing great attention to detail.
  • Adapt managing multiple stakeholders.
  • An excellent communicator comfortable presenting, able to influencer and effectively articulate your point of view.
  • A natural curiosity, passion, and love for the beauty industry.
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail with problem-solving prowess.
  • Exceptional retailer-facing and internal communication skills (written and verbal) and relationship-building skills are required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace

Marketing Campaigns

  • Adapt Global marketing calendar and toolkits to the UK retail channel. Work closely with all departments from Commercial, Creative, CRM, VM, Digital, Education, Brand Marketing, PR, Social and NPD to deliver 360 marketing campaigns, launches and events that push industry boundaries. You will be accountable for attending weekly marketing meetings, curating launch ideas, content ideation, briefing digital and print assets, leading on in-store events seeking opportunities to maximize engagement and conversation, managing launch communications, general activation support and post campaign analysis

Responsibilities:

Marketing Campaigns

  • Adapt Global marketing calendar and toolkits to the UK retail channel. Work closely with all departments from Commercial, Creative, CRM, VM, Digital, Education, Brand Marketing, PR, Social and NPD to deliver 360 marketing campaigns, launches and events that push industry boundaries. You will be accountable for attending weekly marketing meetings, curating launch ideas, content ideation, briefing digital and print assets, leading on in-store events seeking opportunities to maximize engagement and conversation, managing launch communications, general activation support and post campaign analysis.

Trade Marketing Retail Strategy

  • Aid the planning and delivery of retailer marketing plans as part of the JBP for our Specialist Retailer Category: Sephora, Space NK & Boots. Work closely with commercial NAMs and engaging retail partners to secure exceptional marketing support delivered with flawless attention to detail.
  • Work with NAMS on way to achieve departments KPI’s; increase ranking, drive footfall/traffic, increase AOV and basket size, acquire new names, build the retail CRM database, and build ongoing customer loyalty, across existing and future retail doors with a strong lens on driving best omni-channel customer experience.
  • Attend and present in all retail strategy meetings on a quarterly / half yearly basis to inspire and excite retailer partners.

Marketing Toolkits

  • Responsible for the driving and delivery of campaign toolkits for full retail estate including NPD launch campaigns to PDP assets, POS and digital assets, plus seasonal moments including gift wrapping and event toolkits.

Visual Merchandising

  • Assist Sales team & Marketing team in reporting on channel visual adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Working closely with the internal VM team as well as external suppliers to ensure that up to date planograms are communicated and implemented supporting key projects where required, e.g., brand refresh, new product innovation and promotional activity.
  • Collaboratively work with external agencies from ideation, concept to delivery of all promotional material in counters and retail spaces according to the global marketing calendar and minimise wasted costs through effective change-out strategy.

Budget Management

  • Demonstrate high attention to detail when budget planning and PO raising in partnership with the Retail Marketing Team.
  • Work efficiently with agencies and retailers to negotiate cost savings where possible.

Leadership & Relationship Management

  • Develop strong relationships with the retail sales teams and regional channel teams, to execute best-in-class on-counter and digital activation, to drive Brand and Commercial KPI success.
  • Develop relationships with Retailer buying and marketing teams to ensure ELEMIS maximizes all sales and marketing opportunities, specifically building relationships with teams linked to channel KPIs.

Work cross-functionally in the UK to gain insight and potential ideas from other channels, to make ongoing improvements to Retail Marketing activation plans.
