Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to support the Clinical Haematology team within the Cancer Services Directorate for 37.5 hours per week or 34 hours per week. The required days of the post will be Monday – Friday.
This is a busy role supporting the Haematology service. We are looking for an individual who will be highly motivated to take on a new challenge, in return this post will offer excellent development opportunities and the option to take part in further administration qualifications.
The successful candidate will require excellent organisational and communication skills, demonstrate the ability to work self-sufficiently, using their own initiative and be willing to be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the service. The individual must also have the ability to work well under pressure and have the desire to provide a first class service for patients and the clinical teams.
Previous experience of working within a Healthcare environment is desirable but not essential.
Please see the attached job description for further information and we actively encourage interested candidates to contact the manager to discuss in more detail.
The purpose of this job is to provide secretarial support to the Band 4 Medical Secretaries, Consultants, ACP’s and CNS’s within the Haematology service. The main aspect of the role will be typing letters and reports, dealing with telephone queries and completing general administrative duties as required.
The role is based in the Haematology department but there will need to be flexibility in working throughout the Cancer Services Directorate as service needs require.
