About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Mill Technician to join our team based at our Hope Valley site.
In this role you will undertake and complete assigned general hand, mill operation, hygiene, and cleaning activities accurately and efficiently, in accordance with quality standards, customer specifications, and company policies. This role is on a rotating shift roster.

As a self-motivated Assistant Mill Technician, you will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment, operating machines and performing basic troubleshooting. In addition, you will require:

  • Familiarity with quality standards such as HACCP, GMP, and Feedsafe
  • Awareness and commitment to hygiene, health and safety practices
  • Proactive and savvy with operating machines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Flexibility to adapt to different ways of doing thing

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in mill operation activities, including Bulk Out-Loading, Press Operation, and Batching
  • Support plant inspections and maintenance activities, troubleshooting any issues with machines
  • Complete assigned tasks in line with quality standard and operational schedules, and in compliance with GMP
  • Support and participate in plant inspections and maintenance activities
  • Actively participate in hazard mitigation and hygiene management activities
  • Work collaboratively with team to achieve optimal customer-focused outcomes
  • Provide regular updates on work progress to your manager and escalate issues promptly
  • Undertake adhoc tasks as requested
