Description:
SUMMARY:
You will be responsible for providing clinical nursing leadership through assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of quality care for the patients by upholding the standards of nursing practice and adherence to the established hospital protocols and policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma/degree in nursing or equivalent.
- Post-basic Specialty Certificate/ Advanced Diploma in Specialty Nursing or equivalent.
- At least 5 years clinical experience.
- Preceptor/ Clinical Instructor experience.
- Singapore Nursing Board Practicing Certificate for Registered Nurse.
- Valid BCLS and AED certificate.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in overseeing the overall execution of DIS standards and procedures.
- Oversee the implementation of clinical practices including utilization of new technologies, regular clinical audits to ensure the standards of care are of high quality.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of patient care to ensure optimal standards of nursing practice have been achieved.
- Check consent form to ensure its completeness and validity before explaining to the patient on the type of procedure or examination that he/she will be undergoing and the estimated duration of it.
- Integrate evidence-based practice in the reviewing and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and clinical competency checklists for the department.
- Guide and supervise nurses in the provision of patient and family education including delivery of appropriate care pre and post interventional procedures.
- Assist Radiologist in Interventional procedures.
- Assist Radiologist/ Anesthetist in moderate sedation cases.
- To ensure correct billing of consumables used and procedures done for patients.
- Ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff and public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation.
- To respond and manage emergency situation in an efficient and calm manner.
- To apply and adhere to infection control practice and standards.
- Participate in Nursing Quality Committee.
- Perform any other duties as required by the Assistant Director/ Radiologist.
