Providence is calling for an Assistant Nurse Manager in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE FOR ELIGIBLE FULL-TIME EXTERNAL HIRES THAT MEET REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CONDITIONS FOR PAYMENT.
Hours: Full Time (40 Hours Weekly) Day Shift
In collaboration with the management team focuses on daily department operations. Supervises personnel and coordinates activities of Nursing. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the mission of philosophy of the Providence Health System. Serves as a role model for nurses, physicians, and department support staff, exhibiting the Core Values in all activities. Mentors under the Clinical Manager / Director and pursues management and leadership training within the Providence Alaska Learning Institute. May be assigned to special projects per Clinical Manager / Director consistent with strategic, fiscal, and operational goals/targets.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
- upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License.
- upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- 3 years Clinical experience.
- 2 years Recent clinical supervisory experience or charge nurse experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 30 months of hire. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in consultations with the Human Resource Leader.)
