We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Operations Engineer to work in the Countywide Projects Team.
Lancashire Highways Service is responsible for the direct delivery of all highways related schemes across the County made up of 4300 miles of road, 151,000 street lights and 2955 bridges.
The role will be delivering Capital works and providing support to the wider Countywide Projects Team to ensure that the programme of works is delivered within the agreed timescales and budget.
We are looking for someone ideally with an ONC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related field, although this is not essential if you can demonstrate significant experience in a similar role. The post holder will provide direction to their team and to act as first contact to deal with day to day technical issues.
The available Assistant Operations Engineer position will be based at Cuerden Depot, Bamber Bridge within Countywide Projects.
You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
