Description:

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 4 assistant practitioner to join the Mental Health Physiotherapy team 30 hrs per week. You will be expected to deliver clinical care delegated by a registered professional and contributing to the assessment and evaluation of person centre care plans.
The role requires excellent communication skills, IT skills, and the ability to be adaptable, reliable and highly organised. Previous experience in this area would be an advantage

The role is flexible, working from home and/or the office and it involves commuting between inpatient units and the community.
The Physiotherapy service provides Physiotherapy input to Older people and Adults who are unable to access mainstream Physiotherapy due to their Complex Mental Health presentation.
The role will involve travelling within a wide geographical area of Hull and East Riding, to Mental Health Inpatient units and Community dwellings, providing support for patients, family and carers.
To be an established member of the Multi-disciplinary teams within Older Peoples Mental Health.
To work within your scope of practice, providing therapeutic interventions to support patients in their own homes and Mental Health Inpatient units. You will be supported via clinical and managerial supervision.
To support the Physiotherapy team to deliver interventions that will optimise patient centred care.
To demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to provide support/guidance to less experienced staff/students within the clinical environment as required and to delegate care if appropriate.
To effectively manage own caseload in accordance with trust policies, protocols and pathways of care.
Previous experience in this area would be an advantage. You will be required to work within your scope of practice, providing therapeutic interventions to support patients in their own homes and Mental Health Inpatient units. You will be supported via clinical and managerial supervision.
