The Assistant Preschool Teacher or Educarer is responsive to the needs of young children. She creates a secure environment for young children through nurturing respectful, responsive and reciprocal relationships with them. She assists the class teachers in creating a quality learning environment and to provide a holistic development for the children. She must show love and care for the children. She is a team player and works with the main teacher in forging good relationships with the children and the parents as well as with the colleagues.
She participates and carries out the Centre’s initiatives and supports its collaborative efforts with the community. She engages in continuous learning and development in her professional capacity
