Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Teach primarily undergraduate courses in Audit and other Accounting sub-disciplines.
- Deliver courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
- Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement as defined by the Paseka School of Business (PSB) Scholarly Achievement Plan.
- Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching and research skills.
- Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
- Engage in service to the university and community.
- Support Minnesota State University Moorhead’s strategic priority of creating a campus community that is diverse, inclusive, globally aware, and just.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Earned doctorate in accounting or closely related field; or Master of Taxation for tax faculty
- Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching
- Evidence of productive research program
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience teaching Audit
- Experience teaching Tax
- Commitment to fostering student experiential learning; including but not limited to unique course delivery methodologies, unique course activities and assessments, student volunteer activities, student service learning, student clubs, student engagement and interaction with industry
- Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching
