Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Teach primarily undergraduate courses in Audit and other Accounting sub-disciplines.
  • Deliver courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
  • Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement as defined by the Paseka School of Business (PSB) Scholarly Achievement Plan.
  • Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching and research skills.
  • Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
  • Engage in service to the university and community.
  • Support Minnesota State University Moorhead’s strategic priority of creating a campus community that is diverse, inclusive, globally aware, and just.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Earned doctorate in accounting or closely related field; or Master of Taxation for tax faculty
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching
  • Evidence of productive research program

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience teaching Audit
  • Experience teaching Tax
  • Commitment to fostering student experiential learning; including but not limited to unique course delivery methodologies, unique course activities and assessments, student volunteer activities, student service learning, student clubs, student engagement and interaction with industry
  • Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching
