The University of Miami Department of Medicine Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism is seeking to fill a full time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MD Degree and ACGMEUSInternal Medicine Internshipand Residency
• Completed 3-year ACGME US Endocrinology Fellowship
• Valid American Board Certification in Internal MedicineandEndocrinology (or board eligible)
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
• Valid DEA licensure
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
• Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
• Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
• Current BLS certification required. ACLS (if applicable).
• Valid DEA licensure

• Provide high quality medical care to patients with endocrine diseases.
• Conduct examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions, and prescribes medical treatment or services.
• Provide outpatient and inpatient care to patients at University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
• Engages in training of Endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Oversee mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff.
