DESCRIPTION
Springfield College invites applications for a one-year term appointment in the Psychology Department, affiliated with the Athletic Counseling and Undergraduate Programs. Position responsibilities include teaching, advising and mentorship, and service. Opportunities to support graduate student research in Athletic Counseling is possible.
The Psychology Department, housed in the School of Social Work and Behavioral Sciences, is a vibrant department that includes a large undergraduate major, two master’s level programs (Athletic Counseling and Industrial/Organizational Psychology), and a Counseling Psychology, Psy.D. program.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Psychology by May 2024. The College is seeking applicants with a record of research publication and scholarly achievement and demonstrated excellence in teaching and advising students. In particular, applicants should demonstrate the potential to teach courses in one or more of the following areas: athletic counseling, research methods, social psychology, abnormal psychology, and/or health psychology. Candidates with research expertise in sport psychology and are AASP approved certified CMPC mentors are encouraged to apply.
