Description:
Notre Dame of Maryland University’s School of Education is growing and expanding due to program offerings and recognition as one of the largest providers of certified teachers in the State. The school offers State and CAEP-accredited programs ranging from the baccalaureate to doctoral level.
The School of Education is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor with classroom preparation in special education to begin July 1, 2024. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to teach special education classes, emphasizing classroom management, curriculum development, and a commitment to transform lives through education. The faculty member should be available for classes taught on and off campus, day, evening, and online courses. This position carries a 7-unit teaching load (7 classes) and expectations for scholarship and service consistent with the rank of Assistant Professor. Teaching, scholarship, and service are requirements for tenure and promotion.
The qualified candidate will have an earned doctorate, prior college teaching experience, classroom special education experience, a publication history appropriate for the Assistant Professor rank, and online education experience.
