ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland’s first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

Jacobs are seeking an Assistant Project Controls Engineer who will work with the Cost and Change Lead, to coordinate the Change Management process encompassing contractual events and design changes on the Sizewell C project. Key responsibilities will be:

  • Assisting engineering teams in drafting Engaging Change Requests (CRs) and Activity at Completion (ACs) for the SZC project
  • Aiding engineering teams in responding to and creating contractual events in collaboration with the Commercial Manager and contracts team
  • Coordinating with the SZC Risk and Opportunity coordinator to ensure alignment with the risk register and Cost Control team to ensure accurate updates of cost impacts/budgets in the Unifer tool
  • Coordinating with the SZC List of Deliverables Manager to ensure LOD impacts are accurately updated and implemented in the LOD tool - Paladin
  • Collaborating with France Change Coordinator to ensure the progress of SZC CRs (quality check, validation/opening of change requests) in the Change Request tool
  • Preparation and coordination of bi-weekly CRs review meetings (openings and approvals)
  • Supporting the project team in producing monthly reports through the provision of insightful information and analysis
  • Update of Change assumption note when it’s needed.
