ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Nuclear Power Programmes is one of the newest Business Units within Jacobs and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power.
Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. To do this, we are seeking to continuously employ talented individuals to join our diverse team that are excited about nuclear projects and are committed to Net Zero, and Energy Security.
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager who will work with the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager in developing the strategy for delivering the Civil Works to cost, schedule and quality within the agreed constraints on the Sizewell C Project. The works will include setting and implementing strategies for Design Management, Management of the Early Contractor Involvement Contract, Procurement & Commercial Management.

The project is delivered through an organisation that comprises multi-disciplinary teams. The Assistant Project Manager is likely to work within such a team and will have a diverse role within it supporting delivery of work during all project phases within tasks areas that might include:

  • Nuclear Construction Excellence support
  • Health and Safety culture reporting
  • Quality reporting
  • Schedule review and progress reporting
  • Financial assessment and budget reporting
  • Contract administration support and reporting
  • Risk and Opportunity management synopsis and reporting
  • Deliverable development of contract scope
  • Stakeholder liaison and influencing

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Ideally you will be a Civil Engineering/Construction/Business/Maths/Project Management or similar graduate with relevant industry APM experience
  • Keen on working within the Marine & Tunnelling sector
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • passionate about building a long term career within the project.
  • Able to undertake individual working to a high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects through the project lifecycle from concept to handover
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations is preferred but not essential
