ABOUT US

This new service will form part of the broader community perinatal mental health team, and you will be part of a larger team of psychologists specialising in perinatal mental health. We are able to offer high quality supervision and we have a close relationship with the doctoral training course at the University of East Anglia.
You will be joining us at a very exciting time as you will provide support on the NHS long-term plan ambitions to expand the availability of psychological therapies in perinatal teams.

Responsibilities:

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Role summary:

  • To support and enhance the professional psychological care of patients within the Directorate, across all aspects of care; providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified clinical psychologist and within the overall framework of the teams’ policies and procedures.
  • To assist in clinically related administration, teaching and project work.
  • To take part in research; to collect, input and analyse routine data and to report this to clinical teams, managers and others; to liaise with clinical teams across the directorate.
  • Under the direction of a practitioner to assist in care clustering in relation to Payment by Results on admission and discharge.

Within your role you will contribute to:

  • psychological assessments, formulations and interventions under the supervision of a Clinical psychologist.
  • you will help to develop and deliver psychologically informed group work and will have access to your own CPD.
  • you will assist in clinically related administration including audits and collection of statistics and will also contribute to teaching.
  • you will receive weekly supervision from a qualified Clinical Psychologist
