Description:

Key elements to the role are to support the inpatient Psychologist in delivering a formulation-based model of consultation to the multi-disciplinary inpatient teams and to help facilitate discharge to care homes from the inpatient setting. This will involve supporting formulation meetings, helping in the development of behaviour support plans and linking into care homes to support their staff in understanding how best to support patients around behaviours which challenge. The post holders will be expected to link with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, particularly with Occupational Therapy and Nursing staff, in order to help the transfer of key elements of patient care to care homes, including modelling aspects of patient care. The post holders will also be expected to gather data to evaluate the impact of the post.
You will also demonstrate emotional resilience and a capacity to maintain a compassionate approach even in stressful situations. You will be well supported with regular supervision and access to CPD within the specialty and you will demonstrate how you use these structures to maintain safe practice for yourself and others
