Description:

Assistant Purchasing Manager with expertise in customized digital inventory planning. In this role, you will work closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure efficient and effective management of inventory, procurement processes, and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of inventory planning in a digital environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to develop and implement customized digital inventory planning strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Utilize data analysis and forecasting techniques to determine optimal inventory levels and ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory and stock-outs.
  • Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand patterns, and identify trends to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including product information, quantities, and pricing.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, ensuring the best value for the company.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, conduct supplier audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier relationships and optimize procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to gather input and align inventory planning strategies with business needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements related to digital inventory planning.
  • Generate reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to management regarding inventory status, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of inventory management software or systems, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory tracking

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or a related business field.
  • Proficiency in SAP (ECC 6.0, S4 HANA, BI).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with international trading business practices (e.g., Free Trade Agreement, Freight Forwarding, Incoterms).
