Assistant Storekeeper

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, storeroom, or inventory management role is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and record-keeping.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.

• Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying the quantity and quality of items received.
• Record and update inventory data accurately in the inventory management system.
• Organize and maintain the storeroom, ensuring items are properly labeled and stored in designated locations.
• Prepare and distribute orders to various departments as needed.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Assist in managing inventory levels, including monitoring stock levels and notifying the Storekeeper of low or excess stock.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the delivery and return of goods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storeroom, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
• Follow company policies and procedures for inventory control and storage management.
• Provide general support to the Storekeeper and other team members as required.
