MISSION

Management of process related operations and meeting of production KPI’s and production safety targets. Ensure continuous process operation with a minimum of down time.

Scope

  • Area of responsibility covers management of the FPSO process plant.
  • Assist the Operations Manager and Fleet Production Superintendent will all process related issue.
  • The management may and will assign additional tasks not listed in Job Description.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical education at higher level or STCW III/2.
  • Complete Advance Process Operation training
  • Process Engineer or 10 years’ experience in offshore oil and gas production.
  • Experience in Process Operation, Oil Field Operation and having good knowledge of the nature of oil, gas and water
  • production and associated problem shooting
  • Have supervision experience
  • Standard of competence according to Yinson Competence Assurance Matrix
  • Excellent command in English written and spoken

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and coordinate actions to maintain and support the FPSO Helang production.
  • Ensure a safe, high quality and cost-effective process operation and maintenance of the FPSO process systems with minimum environmental impact in accordance with legislation, class, flag safety and Unit Management System.
  • Fulfil the risk management requirements by ensuring all risks in production system and associate utilities are identified, procedures are established and implemented.
  • Manage the human resources available to the production department – that is the production crew. Coordinate with Crewing Department and ensure composition of the Process Team offshore in adequate (competence, number of crew, performance). Performance of the offshore production team falls under Production Assistant Superintendent responsibility.
  • Utilize the CMMS to ensure compliance and to report any non-compliance. Monitor the CMMS system and follow up on planned tasks and address any outstanding tasks.
  • Assist Operation Manager with the unit budget, preparation of accounts and financial reports, cost control and authorize expenditure related to the area of authority.
  • Familiarize with the unit’s process systems and ensure that process crew are trained in the safe operation and maintenance.
  • Spend sufficient time offshore on board the unit (minimum four weeks a year) and be familiar with the production unit, crew, all process issues.
  • Be able to take over from Production Supervisor at any time required and mobilize offshore when required and as instructed by Operation Manager.
  • Have the knowledge of safety requirements, including permit to work systems, operational and emergency procedures company policy and instructions and ensure that the FPSO production crew are aware of and understand them.
  • Maintain accurate records for operation and maintenance system.
  • Responsible for ensuring sufficient stock level, and timely ordering of spare parts and process chemicals to ensure the FPSO operational capabilities and safety.
  • Assist in the planning of major repairs, modifications and surveys and keep the Operation Manager and Fleet Production Superintendent informed of the process unit status.
  • Liaise with the offshore team for assistance with maintenance and operation on the process plant.
  • Responsible for all operation in the production department.
  • Ensure that all safety precaution is taken and that the work is carried out in a safe manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Safety Management System and operational procedures are implemented within the production department.
  • Write and review Operational Procedures and Temporary Work instructions as required.
  • Responsible to ensure that all plant start-up and shutdown are performed safely in accordance with procedures.
  • Review FPSO Helang daily operation reports.
  • Monitor the routine tasks in conjunction with Production Supervisor.
  • Review all F&G, Safety system inhibits including monthly registers (LO/LC, PSV’s, Spec Blind registers).
  • Provide Client and Company with necessary reports.
  • Perform individual appraisals of production crew according to YP’s procedures and ensure that training needs are identified, and training requirements fulfilled.
  • Monitor and support contractor’s activities on the process plant and ensure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with the Management System.
  • Together with Operation Manager, Fleet Production Superintendent and Technical Superintendent liaise with the Client representative on production issues.
  • Manage necessary familiarization with new policies and instructions issued by the company and on the job training for all personnel in the process department.
  • Liaise with Crewing team and Fleet Production Superintendent for manning of the production department, to ensure adequate staff for operational load.
  • Review work permits, risk assessments in the Unisea system and monitor work being carried out on a daily basis.
  • Ensure the production crew is familiar with the safety shut-down system and the knowledge of necessary actions to take in the event of alarms / shut-down situations, i.e., PSD, ESD, fire and gas alarms.
  • Make proper Superintendents visit reports after offshore visit and follow reporting matrix as determined by Operation Manager.
  • Review purchase request and liaise with procurement department to ensure purchase request and purchase orders are processed accordingly.
  • Follow up on critical spares and shutdown planning in conjunction with onshore and offshore team to ensure all planned work activities are completed and process is ready for restart with no delays.
  • Monitor all offshore reports, logs and spread sheets.
  • Ensure personnel qualifications are established and that each individual is given the opportunity of improvement through selective on the job training.
  • Undertake training relevant to the position requirements.
  • On-the-job-training of subordinates and trainees.
  • Offshore visits, audits of the PTW system, safety system and staff performance.
