Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The ESCC Assistant Supervisor/Assistant Centre Manager will undertake daily responsibilities associated with planning, operations, implementation, management, and administrative support. This includes coordinating activities, conducting assessments, engaging with, and providing support to children and families, and maintaining program documentation. The role entails collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure the efficient delivery of service of the centre.
Additionally, ESCC Assistant Supervisor/Assistant Centre Manager will be involved in management meetings, supervision, assessment and intervention planning for students, and coordination with professionals and community resources for service delivery and follow-up.

Responsibilities:

  1. Program Planning and Implementation:
  • Development of relevant daily programs and special projects to meet the needs of the students.
  • Plan, coordinate, implement, execute program activities (eg. art and craft, character building, holiday excursions), and ensuring adherence to objectives and timelines.
  • Plan and execute yearly events and activities at the centre (house-keeping, holiday programmes for students).
  1. Assessment and Support:
  • Conduct assessments to identify the needs of students/families.
  • Counsel students with behavioural and/or disciplinary issues.
  • Provide care and supervise students in an after-school care setting.
  • Provide support to students, including their families, through various interventions and activities.
  • Deliver support and intervention services to students and their families, addressing prioritized needs within the centre’s policies, philosophy and procedures.
  • Guide students in their schoolwork in at least two subjects (English/Chinese/Maths/Science).
  1. Collaboration and Partnership:
  • Liaise with schools and parents regarding students’ progress and behaviour.
  • Collaborate with internal teams from Woodlands Social Centre (WSC HQ), and external partners to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including community organizations, schools, and government agencies.
  • Coordinate with professionals and community resources for service delivery and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with the Volunteer Manager in volunteer management, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and supervision.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date program documentation, including students records, progress notes, program evaluation, fees collection, subsidy application, compliance with governmental rules and regulations.
  • Prepare required reports and documentation for management, government agencies and relevant stakeholders.
  1. Management and Administrative Support
  • Manage enquiries of new students.
  • Manage team of teachers in community-based student care centre.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback to the staff on classroom management skills.
  • Coordinate annual staff appraisal, declaration of offenses, conflict of interest etc
  • Manage all administrative operations of the centre (eg staff training, finance and claims of staff).
