Description:

An Exciting position has arisen to work within NWSSP Supply Chain Logistics & Transport [SCLT] as an Assistant Supply Chain Manager, supporting the Regional Manager on our Modernisation Plan, post holder will be based in our Large Warehouse in Newport, there is a requirement to travel to other NWSSP sites across South and West Wales.
The successful candidate will be supporting the Regional Supply Chain Manager and Warehouse Manager to implement modernisation plans within the warehouse.
The successful candidate will also be supporting the Regional Supply Chain Manager in ensuring the compliance within the warehouse is fully compliant.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
You will be required to Support Management in developing & modernising the Warehousing functions.
Deal with queries and issues, promote Positive Health & Safety, ensure a high quality of service is provided,
Supervise Staff
To oversee and ensure that Warehouse Operations are fully Compliant i.e. H&S, Maintenance of equipment, Safe Systems of Work [SSOW]/Risk Assessments and Flash Cards are regularly audited and updated where necessary
To actively participate and lead on ensuring full compliance during all internal and external Audits.
To ensure all staff PADR, Statutory and Mandatory Training is up to date and arranging any that is require, reviewing staff training requirements
To ensure that all staff have received a full induction on commencement of work.
To effectively review and evaluate areas for modernisation within the Warehouse.
Implementing Modernisation within the Warehouse, working closely with our Transport and Logistics colleagues
