Description:

AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies. However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Technical understanding of supported systems to evaluate & document system requirements in the context of business needs & issues.
  • Participate in definition and design phases of the development life cycle.
  • Test and document automated solutions that meet the needs of the customer.
  • Consult with customer to identify current operating procedures and clarify business objectives.
  • Work with Project Leader to evaluate project requests to determine feasibility, cost and time required, and compatibility with current system.
  • Ability to understand data organization within systems.
  • Document Use Cases, Process and Data Flows, System Requirements and Specifications needed to implement solution.
  • Maintain understanding of organization’s Software Development Lifecycle, programming standards, development tools and systems infrastructure.
  • Monitor system functionality after implementation to assure customer needs are met.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university preferred. Additional
appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

EXPERIENCE:

1 or more years of related experience using the following development tools and/or platforms: .NET, SQL Server, N-Tier Architecture (web and desktop), Job Scheduling and Source Control.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Proficient in the use of office productivity tools (e.g., Word, Excel, e-mail).
  • Excellent communication skills with developers, team members subject matter experts and management.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and make decisions given incomplete and conflicting information.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, relational databases and server environments along with a general understanding of front and back-office technology.
  • Ability to make recommendations for practical solutions to problems within constraints of the business.
  • Demonstrate ability to clarify business requirements and provide system specifications based on analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to target and achieve results.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Understanding of automobile insurance policy processing is a plus.

Salary Range: :$49,700 - $79,500/$59,400 - $95,000/$70,900 - $113,300 Annual:. Actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
