JOB DESCRIPTION
The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at Syracuse University invites applications for a renewable non-tenure track 3-year position of Assistant Teaching Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies (WGS), appointment to begin August 2024. We seek an interdisciplinary feminist scholar with a strong record of teaching and research in WGS. Candidates with interdisciplinary doctoral training and experience in teaching introductory WGS classes preferred.

The candidate’s work should complement the mission, goals, and strengths of the WGS Department at SU. The candidate will be expected to contribute to our core undergraduate curriculum. Our department (http://wgs.syr.edu ) is distinguished by its commitment to intersectional, transnational, and decolonial approaches, and an emphasis on issues of race, class, disability, sexuality, and ethnicity as an inherent part of our signature focus on interdisciplinary feminist analyses of gender and gender justice.
