Description:

Aquis Park Home of The Gold Coast Turf Club races approximately 50 race meetings a year.
We host some of Queensland’s pinnacle racing events, such as Jewel Raceday, Hollindale Stakes, and The Summer Magic Millions Carnival; a raceday with over 11 million in prize money and over 20,000 attendees annually. Most recently, our $60Million course proper, training tracks and infrastructure upgrade including lighting for night racing is now complete.

We are now offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual to manage the day-to-day operations of the racecourse, training tracks, surrounding grounds and;

  • Assist the Racecourse Manager in the preparation of facilities, amenities and grounds for pre- and post-race day.
  • Provide expertise in maintaining quality turf surfaces for racing purposes.
  • Assist with the progress of works projects relating to tracks and racing facilities.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including Racing Queensland officials, trainers, jockeys, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Develop and manage annual racecourse maintenance plans for turf, gardens and plant and machinery.
  • Assist with leading and skilling a team responsible for maintaining and improving the condition of the racing surface and the surrounding grounds.
  • Ensure staff receive appropriate training, induction, and supervision to enable them to complete tasks safely and efficiently and to the required standard
