SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) – proven ability to communicate complex concepts to non-experts.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular, Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in data analysis and proficiency in data analytic tools (e.g. Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview) desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field; Postgraduate degree and actuarial exams are a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Committed to completing actuarial exams and certifications to obtain Actuary qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Support on product development initiatives, including but not limited to:
    o Preparation of Business Case and Technical Note.
    o Performing pricing and profitability analysis and ensuring all criteria are met.

o Implementation and testing, including user testing and illustrations.

  • Provide assistance in regulatory and management reporting.
  • Preparing policy level reports for reinsurer on monthly basis.
  • Assist with data analysis, including but not limited to:

o Retrieving historic claims and premium data for experience analysis.
o Extraction of model points from data extracts for portfolio analysis.

o Reporting of persistency metrics.

  • Monitoring competition and gathering market information.
  • Supporting Operations department with ad-hoc manual illustrations and other tasks as necessary.
