Are you an experienced Associate Adviser with an ability to provide focused, strategic advice?

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years experience in the financial planning industry.
  • Completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning.
  • Experience working with holistic advice, including insurance, investments, SMSF, Centrelink, margin lending, and trusts.
  • Driven to provide accurate, compliant advice documents across a varied client base, supporting and working closely with a single adviser.
  • Strong technical and research skills with a broad knowledge base and thorough understanding of industry regulations.
  • Experience using Xplan Suite for research and modelling.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to develop and build on key relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Flexible and professional attitude.
  • Effective time management skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Client-focused, you enjoy the challenge of working with technical information and understand the importance of compliance and implementation to meet our client’s financial goals.
Using your prior experience and the information gathered at the initial client meeting, you will be responsible for developing and ensuring the implementation of a strategy that best fits each client’s individual needs.
Tertiary qualified in financial services and RG146 compliant, you have a strong paraplanning foundation to support advisers in making the behind-the-scenes tick. Attention to detail and high-level financial research, numerical and modelling skills are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of client reports on a timely, accurate and cost-effective basis.
  • Preparation of presentations to clients.
  • Attendance at client meetings to take notes and participate.
  • Facilitate the implementation of recommended strategies through the support team.
  • Ensure all portfolios recommended are in accordance with Investment Committee recommendations and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with client queries and maintaining their portfolios.
  • Ensure all strategies are focused on the client’s needs/objectives and GAP analysis.
  • Present relevant issues at internal training sessions.
  • Contribute to technical articles as required.
  • Involvement in technical writing for budget analysis
