Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Associate Aircraft Machinist (Level B) to support the Fabrication Program in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable Shift!
Emergent Operations South Carolina is looking for an aircraft machinist to join the team. The position will be focused on fabricating aircraft parts using 5 and 3 axis CNC machines, Lathes, mills, ad various other tools to support the 787 line.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets moderately complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set-up and machine items to fabricate out of sequence emergent production parts as required using manual and CNC machines.
  • Develops and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry.
  • Assists other machinists in completing job responsibilities.
  • Follows detailed verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job.
  • Exhibits Boeing Behaviors.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):

  • Must be able to work variable shifts; including day, evening, night and weekends.
  • 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting machine code data (MCD).
  • 6+ months of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ years of experience of 787 Operations.
  • 6+ months of experience in a team environment.
  • 1 + years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, electrical schematics, and reading and interpreting blueprints or drawings.
  • 1 + years of experience using manual mill and lathe machines.
  • 1 + years of experience setting up and fixtures, operating, and programming CNC machines, i.e. with 3 and 5 axis CNC machines.
  • 1 + years of experience setting up NC/CNC machines, including probing and using dial indicators to establish set points.

TYPICAL EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
