The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Estimator (Entry-Level or Associate) to join the growing team in Hazelwood, MO.
Our Estimating Specialists support United States Government (USG) and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) type contracts and proposal activities. This position will be responsible for a variety of estimating tasks, including estimate and cost volume preparation, proposal development, fact-finding, and negotiation support. These specialists will coordinate with different functions to dissect customer requests for proposals and statements of work, and maintain communications with internal and external partners to ensure cost proposals are accurate, complete and of the highest quality.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s Degree by December, 2023
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills
  • Interest in solving government resource allocation problems
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work products at the same time
  • University coursework or experience in a business or technical related function including but not limited to: Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Contracts, Estimating and Pricing, Business Operations, Procurement Financial Analysis
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics or business) or a discipline that fosters problem solving, structured thought and creativity

Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost estimates for technical requirements including design, build, and aftermarket support of Boeing platforms
  • Evaluate requests for proposal and statements of work
  • Coordinate with diverse group of internal functional teams
  • Substantiate cost estimates and prepare proposals for submittal to customer
  • Perform analyses and provide recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
  • Support negotiations with a diverse set of customers
  • Develop and improve estimating and pricing methods
  • Evaluate and develop business cases
  • Present business solutions to preserve and expand the business
