About Us:
Hoedemaker Pfeiffer is a medium-sized Seattle architecture and interior design firm. We specialize in the design of finely-crafted custom houses and renovations. Our team is dedicated to meaningful and timeless design achieved through close interaction with clients and rigorous attention to detail. We look to create layers of meaning that tell the stories of people and place through the experience of space and materials. Our office is located in the Georgetown neighborhood in South Seattle.
Currently, we are seeking creative, detail-oriented Associate who can contribute to the culture and design excellence of Hoedemaker Pfeiffer.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of architecture firm experience, with at least one year in custom high end residential required
- Master/Bachelor degree in Architecture or equivalent in education or experience
- Experience generating construction drawings through all architectural phases with working knowledge of drawing conventions and drawing organization
- Experience in managing construction documents and tracking changes through all phases of work
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to collaborate within a team and work independently
- Must have solid design skills as demonstrated by a strong portfolio
- Technical skills that include experience with materials, specifications, construction detailing, critical thinking and problem solving
- Fluency in AutoCAD and Sketchup
- Must live in the Seattle Metro area and be willing to work in the office 3-days or more per week.
Added Qualifications:
- Hand sketching, Photoshop, InDesign, Enscape, BIM and Excel skills a plus
- Permitting experience in Seattle and WA state a plus
Responsibilities:
- Produce & coordinate drawings from Schematic Design through Construction Administration
- Support multiple projects simultaneously
- Provide support to Project Managers
- Support the design process and generate presentation materials
- Travel to job site meetings, as required
- Be a good citizen of our office
