Description:

De Mott, Curtright & Armendariz, LLP is a stable, growing, and fast-paced immigration and criminal law firm looking for an experienced, compassionate, intelligent, and career-minded Associate Attorney in San Antonio, Texas.
We are seeking an attorney with a preferred 1+ years of immigration experience including but not limited to family based immigration, consular work, waiver and deportation defense. Strong research, writing and analytical skills a must. Must be ethical and a motivated team player with superior organization ability. We are looking for an ambitious person seeking long-term employment, someone who understands that continued employment is dependent on his or her ability to find ways to be useful, to solve problems, and to demonstrate value to the firm.

REQUIREMENTS:

Juris Doctorate
Active bar admission
Spanish language fluency
Previous case management experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with other attorneys, legal assistants, and administrative assistants
Perform case analysis and develop case strategies for a diverse caseload
Manage a caseload from intake through processing and filing
Draft supplemental statements, rebuttals to NOID’s and RFE’s, and prepare and file immigration applications and motions with USCIS/EOIR
Conduct legal research to support immigration applications
Review applications and approve for submission
Prepare clients and attend court/USCIS interviews
Respond to immigration inquiries in a timely manner while adhering to government deadlines
Maintain proper client files and evidence required to prove eligibility
Maintain proper case management notes in Dynamics, our client management system
Perform other related duties and special projects, as requested
