Responsibilities:

YOU WILL BE A MEMBER OF AN EXPERIENCED BUILDING CONSULTANCY TEAM THAT WILL CARRY OUT A WIDE RANGE OF ROLES, SPECIALISING IN TECHNICAL DUE DILIGENCE.

The role will require regular and direct communication with institutional fund management clients’, landlords’, consultants’ and tenants.
The team combines technical expertise with commercial awareness which meet specific client requirements from a nationwide network of offices.
You will be working as part of a dedicated national team. Focused on assessing assets / portfolios and providing reasoned advice to clients within reports primarily for the purposes of pre-acquisition or re-financing, and as part of vendor sale pack preparation.
Your work will include peer reviews, preparing reinstatement cost assessments, and pre-acquisition related feasibility work.
Key clients include Columbia Threadneedle, M&G, Landsec, BlackRock, Tristan Capital Partners, KKR, and Federated Hermes.

WHAT MATTERS MOST IN THIS ROLE

You will be proactive, diligent, measured, practical, and have a positive approach to work.
Understanding the clients’ brief and delivering on their expectations in a clear and concise manner will assist you in forging long lasting relationships.
You will undertake multiple instructions simultaneously for a range of key clients assisting the team on large or technically complex single-asset transactions, portfolio instructions, and individually managing smaller commissions under the supervision of a Partner /Technical Director. You will need to demonstrate your ability to work to institutional deadlines and provide regular client updates along the journey.
The ability to analyze complex scenarios, assess risks and advise on technical and statutory aspects of the asset. This will involve you to work with and interpret third-party reports and advice.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Successfully manage commissions from inception to completion.
  • Brief, coordinate and interpret third-party consultants as necessary.
  • Working with landlord investors on their ESG initiatives to ensure you are advising and delivering on the most environmental and sustainable methods and materials.
  • Understand the clients’ business plan and provide pre purchase feasibility advice.
  • Working with team members and sharing in assisting in developing less experienced members of the team as well as taking up leadership roles.
  • Assist the wider team in other business activities as required
