The role of Associate requires active engagement with Coverage/GAM and risk approvers on preparation (and review of) the full credit application package covering limit proposal and all relevant risk types (credit risk, fraud risk, sanction risk, sustainability/climate risk, transaction risk, etc.). This also involves ongoing risk monitoring responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduates
  • Sound knowledge of accounting and financial principles
  • MBA or CFA qualifications advantageous

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in banking, rating agency, treasury, or accounting preferred
  • Strong analytical ability focused on credit risk assessment
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Ability to hold credible dialogue at all levels

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Timely drafting of credit analysis as directed by the relevant Team Leader, ensuring insights, relevance, and succinctness.
  • Assessment of the client’s competitive positioning within its industry.
  • Articulation of the client’s strategy and assessment of its clarity and associated execution risks.
  • Assessment of funding strategy, financial policy, treasury activity, and liquidity.
  • Analysis of balance sheet strength, cash flow, profitability vulnerability, via ratio analysis and stress testing.
  • Preparation of various analyses as directed by the Team Leader, such as industry-specific reviews, portfolio reviews, stress tests, etc.
  • Completion of account spreading and scorecard determination within Creditmate, proposing preliminary credit grading to Credit.
  • Finalization of relevant Group Mandate and/or Business Credit Application for assigned clients.
