We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate, CSF Private Capital, Southeast Asia.
Principal Responsibilities
The Private Capital team covers private equity investors investing across Southeast Asia, providing structured / leveraged financing solutions to their portfolio companies. The Private Capital team is part of the Corporate & Structured Finance (‘CSF’) business of Commercial Banking, which originates structured financings, capital markets, and advisory solutions for corporate and private equity owned clients in conjunction with product teams across the bank.

The Associate role assists the deal leads with originating, structuring, executing, and portfolio managing complex financing solutions and capital financing opportunities to support Private Equity investors operating across the Southeast Asia region.

  • Engage in discussions with Financial Sponsors investing across Southeast Asia, supporting the Associate Director / Director as part of the deal team to originate, structure, and execute complex financing solutions and capital financing opportunities.
  • Work closely as part of the execution deal team to structure and execute credit facilities for proposed leveraged and acquisition finance transactions
  • Prepare detailed client plans, pitch books, term sheets, industry reports, financial models, pricing proposals, and credit proposals
  • On-going portfolio monitoring and reviews to ensure credit quality and transaction profitability of the Financial Sponsor loan portfolio
  • Interface with internal stakeholders to ensure continuous communication of customer risk and exposure profiles
  • Provide timely and accurate management information to internal stakeholders to meet business and regulatory requirements
  • Based in Singapore and reporting to the Head of CSF Private Capital, Southeast Asia

Requirements

  • Corporate / investment banking, finance / accounting, or transaction services industry experience, ideally with exposure to leveraged and acquisition finance, private equity / investment, or the broader structured finance environment. Less experienced candidates will be considered for an Analyst role
  • Strong capability in financial modelling, credit analysis and credit presentation, with an understanding and ability to structure complex event driven transactions
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills to ensure ability to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with ability to interact at a senior and strategic level
  • Sound understanding of banking products and services, including ECM, DCM, Trade, Cash Management, and Interest Rate / FX Markets
  • Excellent level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
