Description:

At Clean Harbors, we are seeking a Junior Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analysis and machine learning techniques, and experience with Microsoft Azure’s suite of data services. This role will involve working with large datasets to extract insights and inform business decisions, as well as designing and implementing machine learning experiments.

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Design and implement data-driven solutions using Microsoft Azure’s tools and services, such as Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Azure databases or Fabric implementation. Ensure these solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated AI models to solve complex business problems. Use these models to generate actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Leverage large volumes of data from various sources to extract meaningful insights. Present these insights in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, GenAI space and cloud computing.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
  • 2+ years working in data science, machine learning, or a related field OR string academic experience preferably in Data Science/AI/Data Analytics.
  • Deep understanding of statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and big data technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and its suite of data science tools is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python data analysis and machine learning.
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases needed and any experience with Data Fabric is a plus.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, Tensorflow or Scikit-learn.
  • Knowledge of deep learning and neural networks preferred. Experience with utilizing GenAI LLMs in Python is a plus.
  • Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate will be a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
