The Opportunity
Cochlear has an opportunity for a full time Associate Demand Manager based in our Macquarie, Sydney office. In this role, the successful Associate Demand Manager will forecast demand, develop demand plans, and manage inventory efficiently for the APAC & CLASA organization, ensuring customer needs are met and optimising supply chain processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, business intelligence and financial targets.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to understand market dynamics and customer demand drivers.
  • Monitor and analyse demand patterns, identifying opportunities and risks to optimize inventory levels.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to review demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply chain performance for both the short term and long-term horizons.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure demand planning effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Continuously improve demand management review (DMR) process to enhance forecast accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Provide user training, user support and documentation when required.
  • Assist the APAC Logistics function with identifying opportunities and inefficiencies within the existing supply chain processes.

About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, APICS Supply Chain or Demand Management or equivalent; or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a medical device environment.
  • Demonstrated advanced application of Supply Chain or Demand Management processes.
  • Extensive exposure to Supply Chain or Demand Management processes within a distribution environment
  • Knowledge of Oracle and SAP Business Intelligence solution.
  • Advance knowledge of all key Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, Word, Power Point) Demonstrated prior experience in advanced business analytics and data interrogation techniques.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques and/or Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Advance knowledge of data interrogation/query design and reporting techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of all key Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, Word, Access, Power Point).
  • Experience in project management.
  • Advanced understanding of principles governing Supply Chain Management.
