- Be a part of Astra Zeneca’s Rare Disease Unit Controllership team based in Dublin
- Oversee the IFRS monthly and quarterly close process for Alexion Ireland which has responsibility for global manufacturing, commercialization and distribution of Alexion products
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
Responsibilities:
- Driving completion of accurate and timely month end & quarter end reporting for Alexion Ireland including the review of financial analysis & commentary for the entity
- Leading APIO reporting and relevant read-outs to RDU Controller leadership and FP&A
- Fostering strong relationships both internally across the Alexion/AZ network and with third party stakeholders
- Liaison with Alliance Management and Legal on global royalties payable by APIO, with responsibility to ensure accurate and complete accrual & payment process
- Oversight of cost assessments and changes therein, critically challenging as required
- Liaison with Group Financial Reporting, global RDU Controllers and R&D business partners on relevant R&D programs
- Oversight of capital reporting, including providing guidance to the business as required
- Supporting on AZ integration efforts as required
- Quarterly Country Controller Certification for Alexion Ireland
- Ensuring team works closely and effectively with Finance colleagues both locally and globally, adhering to global deadlines
- Ensuring accounting compliance with IFRS and local GAAP accounting principles
- Driving accountability across the operating model, liaising with Genpact relationship lead to identify, discuss & resolve issues
- Managing expectations and working collaboratively with GFS team in Ireland
- Supporting on embedded finance inputs into APIO statutory financials, including material statutory adjustments such as IP impairment reviews and Monosuite accounting
- Reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations and monitoring reconciling items for timely resolution
- Liaison with local statutory and tax accountants as required
- Assisting Director Accounting on ad hoc projects
- Managing timely completion of SOX related activities and ensure SOX narratives are kept up to date
- Supporting with Group, Internal and Statutory audit efforts
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to implement system and process improvements for the month end closing cycle
- Support & development of direct reports, providing relevant and balanced feedback on a continual basis.

- Succession planning within the team
