Description:

CORE SCHEDULE:

8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday; schedule varies based on needs of the agency, staff and clients; some evenings and weekends may be required.

SALARY RANGE - $60,000-$66,000 PER YEAR

Role Summary: The Associate Director of Campus Based Programs is accountable for the ongoing leadership and management of:

  • Program Development and Oversight – assisting in the process of planning, organizing, developing, implementing, and evaluating agency programs.
  • Staff Development – managing staff development processes and developing training that increase the efficacy of BGH employees.
  • Clinical Services – overseeing all aspects of treatment provided to BGH clients and ensuring that therapeutic services meet all applicable internal and external standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Leadership - Manage programmatic aspects of BGH campus-based programs. Ensure that treatment services are of the highest quality and comply with all applicable standards. Monitor and manage processes related to documentation and file maintenance. Develop and implement plans of correction and quality improvement measures as needed. On a regular and as needed basis, develop and implement standards, guidelines, and/or procedures for both staff and clients. Assure compliance with all applicable standards of licensing and/or accreditation organizations), as well as the standards established by funding sources. Assist in developing and managing program budgets. As needed, hold managers/others accountable for fiscal performance of their programs. Establish vision and implementation plan for program expansion and new program development. Market BGH programs and manage working relationships with community resources. Inform Director of Campus Based Programs immediately of any situation or emergency that may require executive input, intervention, decision, or approval. Ensure that appropriate risk management and quality assurance practices are implemented. Participate in developing risk management and quality assurance policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Staff Development - Model a professional approach in motivating, coaching, developing, leading and therapeutically supervising staff. In conjunction with the administrative and leadership teams, recruit staff and make recommendations for hiring, terminating, position and/or salary changes. Ensure that staff members adhere to Boys & Girls Haven policies and procedures, as well as program standards and protocols. Complete performance appraisals for employees punctually and professionally.
  • Community Partnerships - Assess community needs as related to Boys & Girls Haven service delivery capabilities and program development responsibilities. Create and carry out a proactive marketing plan of regular and targeted contacts to maintain referrals for all programs. Present a positive and professional public image, with particular focus on interpreting the mission of Boys & Girls Haven to the community.
  • Professional Development - Be proactive in seeking to improve therapeutic and management capabilities. Be a role model of continuous quality improvement expectations for all staff members. Maintain KY state licensure/certification.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education – Bachelors of Arts/Science required, in human services preferred. Master’s in human services field or equal relevant applicable experience.
  • Experience/Credentials – Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills, including proficiency with appropriate computer software/hardware (i.e., Windows, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word, and other relevant software/hardware).
  • Other - Interact professionally with BGH employees, clients, visitors, government agencies and the general public. Maintain confidentiality of all client information. Must be at least 21 years of age and legally able to work in U.S. Valid driver’s license and insurability required if expected to transport clients and/or use company vehicles. Successful completion of all background screenings and pre-employment drug screen. Successful negative, post-contingent offer, and annual TB screenings.
    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: stand, walk and sit; use hands to manually manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to read, write and converse in English.
    Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a standard administrative office environment. S/he will come into contact with BGH clients, staff members, Board members, volunteers, and other members of the community.
    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, the employee may be exposed to loud noises while performing the duties of the job.
