Position Description

BACKGROUND

QIAGEN has committed to reducing carbon emissions in line with a 1.5 degree Celsius climate target. We track our energy, emissions, water, waste, and transportation and launched multiple cross-functional initiatives that reduce our impact on the environment. We are looking for an experienced Program Manager, defining and implementing our long-term scope 3 emission reduction roadmap against the criteria of our climate commitment towards the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi).

Position Requirements

  • Solid ESG background and knowledge
  • Ability to build, lead and motivate cross-functional team

Responsibilities:

  • Professional program management for all initiatives related to our emission target
  • Continuous monitoring and reporting of program/projects status and progress
  • Lead and manage the cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams
  • Successful execution of the emission reduction roadmap
  • Establish internal and external networks and identify new topics for cooperation
  • Challenge and improve our emission reduction strategy
  • Providing relevant contributions to internal and external communication to strengthen sustainability in the corporate culture and make our activities visible
  • Close cooperation with business unit managers, global product managers, R&D and relevant global operations departments, define priorities of sustainability projects, allocate needed project resources and budgets
