ABOUT US:
Client Management & Execution (CME) is the Centre of Credit & Execution Excellence within Corporate Finance, and the broader C&IB business. CME teams work closely with CIB Coverage and Product teams to manage the CIB customer portfolios.
The team has highly professional Portfolio and Execution specialists across Australia, UK, USA and Asia covering the broad spectrum of Corporate & Institutional businesses, delivering a wide range of financial solutions for our customers.
CME aims to drive C&IB’s performance by leveraging its diverse talent and meaningful insights, with an objective to optimise the bank’s available capital. CME offers a great training platform for the future leaders of C&IB.
YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Managing the larger and more complex transactions within the CME Directorship alongside the portfolio Senior Associates and Associates;
- Providing significant experience input and support on structuring transactions, preparing credit submissions, employing financial modelling where required and making recommendations on transactions to credit;
- Driving transactions forward whilst engaging multiple stakeholders including Client Coverage team, Product Partners and client support teams to achieve a seamless client experience;
- Responsible for oversight of the risk profile monitoring and compliance requirements of each client portfolio with the Directorship; ensuring portfolio hygiene is a good standard;
- Attending internal and external stakeholders’ meetings to support business outcomes whilst managing portfolios and
- Provide regular guidance/coaching to senior associates, associates and analysts within the team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As an Associate Director in the Client Management & Execution (CME) team within Corporate Finance, reporting to Director, CME, your responsibilities will include covering all aspects of loan product development, origination, execution, for a portfolio of existing clients as well new to bank opportunities. This involves loan structuring, financial and risk analysis, managing the credit approval process and all elements of client portfolio management and reporting.
To succeed in this role, you will be a self-starter with a strategic mindset, who is motivated to succeed in a fast paced, at times ambiguous and complex environment and have:
- Extensive demonstrated experience working in a similar role within Corporate and Institutional
- Strong skills in credit writing, transaction structuring and document negotiation is essential
- Awareness of market risk related issues (including legislation etc.)
- Exceptional communication, relationship management and leadership skills
- Proven ability in strategic planning and execution skills
- Advanced analytical/numerical skills and attention to detail with regards to the customer request/borrowing purpose, risk assessment, financial modelling/analysis and documentation knowledge
- Professional or Postgraduate qualifications preferred but not necessary (generally CA, CPA, MBA or Masters
