Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in data and analytics in a large cross-functional organization.
  • Previous experience at the associate director level or higher.
  • Experience in defining roles and responsibilities, mentoring, and leading a diverse team in a highly matrixed organization with the ability to influence.
  • Experience with ML Ops: Understanding of Machine Learning Operations (ML Ops) principles and practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Ability to travel 25%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to align stakeholders and develop strong relationships; coach stakeholders who are not digitally savvy and fully leverage their knowledge and support.
  • Strong analytical mindset: understands the key impact on customers and stakeholders.
  • Challenger mindset with the passion to challenge the status quo, find new solutions, and drive out-of-the-box ideas.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: can operate independently with little direction.
  • Current or previous Boston Scientific experience.

Responsibilities:

Boston Scientific is experiencing growth and is actively seeking an experienced leader to provide business insights that enhance decision-making across the division. This role aims to generate incremental business value and explore new opportunities through digital innovation.
As the designated data expert, this individual will offer intelligence and analytical support to the Cardiology business. Leveraging technology, data management, and analytics leadership, they will collaborate closely with key functions across the division (including Marketing, R&D, Digital Solutions, Clinical, Legal, and Regulatory). Their responsibilities involve striking a balance between strategy, governance, and the development of data-driven operating models and essential data pipelines to drive positive business outcomes.
The role requires a blend of technical acumen and a deep understanding of business context. This includes proficiency in customer and market intelligence analytics, insights, AI/ML, application integration, data platform management, and fostering Communities of Practice.
