Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION

You will be expected to be technically excellent and have a broad range and experience of commercial surveying including Technical Due Diligence (TDD), Condition Surveys and Contract Administration / Project Management, Dilapidations and Party Wall Matters. Additionally, you should be able to commission manage both single and multiple asset instructions.
The job will involve a mixed and varied workload with often the need to balance a number of different instructions simultaneously.
You will largely focus on service delivery, often working as part of a larger commission team and supporting to achieve exceptional outcomes for our clients. You should be confident in dealing direct with the client.
You will be required to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and ensuring time expended aligns with the cost forecast to ensure profitability of instructions, (financial performance responsibility).

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • The key focus of our TDD advice and reporting is to identify key risks, the severity and quantification of these risks, along with recommendations for mitigation. Our advice needs to ensure that our clients achieve maximum value from their built assets with a clear understanding of risk. The role includes predominantly Technical Due Diligence along with some Project Management/Contract Admin, Dilapidations and occasionally Party Wall services across a range of building types although largely commercial.
  • The position includes a relatively high level of responsibility and accountability with an opportunity to develop managerial as well as technical knowledge and skills, and to progress within a successful and growing specialist team.
  • To manage risk in service delivery and contribute to service delivery improvement initiatives.
  • To demonstrate organic revenue growth and implementation of the business plan in terms of the commercial building surveying offering
  • To manage and undertake professional technical consultancy commissions including Technical Due Diligence, dilapidations, condition surveys and infrequently party wall work.
  • To effectively communicate ensuring all information is available for the successful implementation and completion of projects.
  • To liaise with the Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure efficient financial control resulting in a cost effective service.
  • To represent the company in a professional and diligent manner.
  • To ensure the Sector Director has quantified information on the progress of each contract on a regular basis
  • To support with mentoring and supervising our junior building surveyors
