Description:

Position Title: Associate Director, Global Technology Engineering
Location: Global
Role Purpose:
Lead the Global Technology Engineering division of GMS, overseeing the Platform Engineering, Software Development, Customer Interface Engineering and Manila Development teams. This division is tasked with designing, implementing, partially running and maintaining secure technology solutions which enable the business. The role involves developing and executing a strategic roadmap for technology engineering, ensuring alignment with the Global Managed Services’ current and future business plans and vision.
Summary:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Provide strategic leadership to global technology engineering teams, setting a clear vision for the development and enhancement of technology.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align engineering strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, fostering innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cyber managed service trends, threats and technologies, and implement proactive measures to enhance the global technology proposition for clients.

Global Expansion and standardisation:

  • Lead the development, standardisation and expansion of technology engineering processes and procedures across the global technology engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure consistent service delivery, adherence to global standards, and responsiveness to regional requirements.

Division Development:

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, to be executed by the engineering Team Leads.
  • Develop and mentor Team Lead talent, promoting skill development and career growth.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional divisions, including Sales, Marketing, and Product Development, to ensure alignment between support engineering efforts and market demands.
  • Act as a technical advisor to support business development activities

What we are looking for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus
  • Proven demonstrable experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on technology engineering and architecture.
  • Strong technical expertise in cybersecurity technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, encryption, and cloud security.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience leading global teams in a fast-paced, growth environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at surrounding levels.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly desirable.
