Description:
Responsibilities:
In this Associate Director, Governance and Policy role, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Assist Senior Director, Governance in daily operations, administration, and staff management.
- Coordinate internal audit function, oversee implementation of recommendations, and implement governance and policy-related changes.
- Draft briefs for Executives, Agency Board, and Board Committees regularly.
- Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage whole-of-Agency policies and the Agency Policy Register.
- Oversee Conflict of Interest Framework and support Senior Director, Governance with integrity matters.
- Perform additional governance and risk management tasks as needed
To be successful in this Associate Director, Governance and Policy role, you must have experience in the following areas:
- Proven governance knowledge and/or internal audit management experience is a must.
- Proficient in Accounting, Finance, and Governance, with knowledge of relevant Auditing Standards.
- Experience in contemporary business practices and applying them in the workplace, providing sound advice in Governance matters.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage workload priorities, meet multiple deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure.
- Completion or substantial progression towards full membership of CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand is ideal
