DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for someone with a track record of delivering ITT and teacher development training to join Ambition Institute as Associate Director, ITT Delivery on a 12-month fixed term contract, to cover a period of maternity leave.
This is an exciting time to join Ambition Institute as we launch our new Initial Teacher Training (ITT) offer to supplement the work we already do across our programme suite. You’ll play a key role in the operational leadership of our Initial Teacher Training offer, with the programme beginning in September 2024.
As part of the leadership team our ITT Programmes hold responsibility for the quality of the programme implementation including working closely with our network of Lead Partners. You’ll be responsible for the development and leadership of our ITT programme, ensuring high quality delivery of the key components of our model, ultimately guaranteeing that our trainees are well supported to successfully achieve QTS and a PGCE.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

To succeed in this role you’ll hold qualified teacher status and have proven experience in developing the performance of teachers, including school ITT mentoring or provider tutoring. You’ll also be able to demonstrate knowledge of current policy and provision for ITT, including the ITT Core Content Framework. Experience of delivering a successful outcome during an Ofsted Inspection will also be essential.
If this has sparked some interest we welcome an application from you.
