POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Director of Human Resources will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department to include recruitment, onboarding and off boarding, compensation, leaves of absences, training, employee relations, compliance, and enforcing company policies and practices. Also recruits, trains and oversees staff and their respective functions within in the department. Will serve on HR and DE&I Committees.
The starting salary for this position ranges from $102,900 to $144,180 annually. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, or HRCI PHR or SPHR highly desired.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

This position must have considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resources management, extensive knowledge of state and federal labor laws and excellent interpersonal and writing skills. Experience with policy and procedure creation; Prior supervisory experience required. Strong computer skills to include HRIS. Good presentation skills and ability to create content. Must be a self-starter, one who takes initiative and has excellent follow through.
Must have current driver’s license, and ability to occasionally travel to local Eskaton communities as required.
The final candidate must successfully pass Eskaton’s post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, COVID test, TB screen test and health screen.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of Human Resources operational tasks including supervision of staff and oversight of staff’s functional areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management. Identify trends that may affect organization objectives and/or operational resources.
  • Assists the Director to ensure the organization has appropriate policies, procedures and practices for the effective operation of the organization and complies with those policies, procedures and practices. Responsible for the maintenance of employee handbooks for Eskaton as well as affiliated and management communities.
  • Participates in developing and executing department goals, objectives and systems that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Provides support and guidance to management for employee relations issues to include investigations and reports as required.
  • Responsible for the content and delivery of training programs created and supported by human resources utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Oversight of the post offer/pre-employment process to include collaboration with WC Safety Manager in establishing new clinic/lab locations and making changes to existing processes.
  • Assists Director with researching and, responding to governmental, and employee complaints and inquires.
  • Oversees the content and delivery of the company’s Management Development program in conjunction with the Director.
  • Conducts monthly new supervisor orientation ensuring all materials are current and relevant.
  • Collaborates with the Director to create and deliver organizational training and development efforts as needed by business decision and/or governmental regulations.
