We’re an ambitious team of over 100 people across the UK & US and not stopping there. We’re growing fast, and so we’re looking for an Associate Director to join our SMM team. Working closely with our Head of Social Media Management you’ll support team leadership (for a department of 20+) and help grow the department through delivering industry leading Social Media Management across our clients.
Social Media Management at Born, is about propelling our brands into culture by building bridges with community. You are the eyes and ears of what is bubbling within real-time community conversations and trends, cultural events, creators, as well as our native platform experts. Working to both directly engage with communities through output, as well as escalating relevant insights to our strategy and content teams to ensure our output is relevant.
Responsibilities:
- Turning strategy into tactics: You’ll represent Social Media Management in the Strategy phase of briefs, ensuring there are clear community & platform insights which ladder into tactics that have a clear role for UGC, Community Management, and the interplay with Creators & Branded comms. Delivering frameworks & structures for the Social Media Manager team to use when executing themselves.
- Leading output: You’ll act as an overall output leader when involved with delivery - collaborating with other Senior leaders to oversee the quality of output, ensuring output is representative of community insight and is executed with platform first tactics. Ensuring delivery team members (particularly our SMMs) are equipped with the technical and operational know-how to deliver leading output.
- External comms: You’ll represent the SMM delivery across key client and interagency meetings on specific accounts, able to strategically advise on best practise.
- Leadership of Senior Social Media Managers: You will be people lead our Senior Social Media Managers, taking responsibility for their personal & professional development, ensuring the quality of their delivery is high, both across output, Senior collaboration, and SMM leadership.
- Contribute to our Department Vision: You’ll work closely with the Head of Social Media Management and relevant Directors to contribute insight & ideas for how the department develops, and creating opportunities to contribute to the vision both through account work & operational initiatives.
- Hiring: You’ll be working closely with our talent acquisition team to interview & bring in industry-leading Social Media Managers, collaborating with the Head of Social Media Management and Senior SMMS to assess a candidate’s value & skill set alignment with relevant vacancies in the department.
