Associate Director, Wealth Sales - Institutional Client Private Banks

Within GBM, HSBC Market & Securities Services (MSS) works with corporate and institutional clients where we provide a wide range of markets products via our specialist teams and Wealth is one of MSS Global growth pillars and is organised as a Global vertical serving Private Bank managed UHNWI & UHWI for their investment needs.
We are currently seeking a professional to join our Institutional Client Wealth team as an Associate Director.
The role holder will also ensure the HSBC values are present in everything they do, both individually and as an organisation. The role is office-based, working at HSBC offices at Canada Square London and will include travel for client meetings. You must be able to work in London on a full-time basis.

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Provide solutions for Structured Equity Derivatives (SED’S) to satisfy UHNWI & HNWI investment needs.
  • Develop mainly origination and some ‘new to bank’ opportunities with UK & Swiss based Private Banks and Wealth Managers
  • Leverage on HSBC’s competitive platform to reinforce existing strong partnerships.
  • Participate in the whole trade life cycle: term-sheet generation, pricing, booking, secondary market, after-trade follow up.
  • Accountable for sales targets associated with their portfolio
  • Work in line with all HSBC Group Policies, regulatory requirements and HSBC Global Standards at all time.

Requirements

To be successful you will demonstrate the following:

  • You must Have a deep knowledge of SED’s and how they are structured
  • It is a pre-requisite that you have gained extensive experience of working with Private Banks, Wealth Managers and how they support the investment needs of their client base
  • Outstanding relationship management skills across internal and external stakeholders with an ability to engender the trust and confidence of a trusted advisor
  • Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to understand the structures of complex organisations and successfully navigate commercial negotiations.
  • Good knowledge of financial services Risk & Governance and the appropriate controls used in a Front Office setting
