MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING CAPABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE:

• AutoCAD
• MS Excel
• The ability to read blueprints.
• Compute dimensions from architectural plans.
• Ability to work well with other engineers/designers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Some understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code), ICC International Codes, and Uniform building codes.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent comparative experience.
• 1 year of experience in electrical design for residential or commercial building systems, code compliance, and construction.
  

  LI-On-site

• Produce Electrical load calculations and single-line diagrams.
• Will be trained to produce power and lighting plans, sight lighting/sight power plans, sight photometric studies, and lighting fixture designs.
• Any experience designing single- and multi-family, low- and high-rise residential electrical plans is preferred.
• Generate detailed electrical design drawings in AutoCAD for construction documentation of electrical plans for bidding and construction.
• Prepare construction documents in AutoCAD.
• Utilize Excel tables and formulas to assist in electrical load calculation.
• Work with design staff and drafters to complete the project.
